Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Product Design (UI/UX) to lead our growing design team and shape the future of our digital products. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong design portfolio, user-centred mindset, and a passion for building intuitive and impactful user experiences. You will define the design vision, manage and mentor a high-performing team, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver exceptional user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design Strategy & Leadership
- Define and own the product design vision and strategy aligned with brand and business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of UI, UX, and interaction designers.
- Establish and enforce design standards, systems, and best practices across all products.
- Champion user-centred design principles throughout the product lifecycle.
User Experience Excellence
- Oversee user research, usability testing, and data-informed design decisions.
- Translate complex product requirements into clear and elegant user experiences.
- Ensure digital accessibility compliance (WCAG, ADA).
- Develop and maintain scalable design systems and component libraries.
Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with Product Management to align on priorities and user needs.
- Collaborate with Engineering for seamless and accurate design implementation.
- Balance visionary design with technical feasibility and delivery timelines.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and emerging technologies.
- Explore and integrate innovative design approaches (e.g., motion design, AR/VR, AI-assisted tools).
- Foster a culture of feedback, learning, and continuous improvement within the design team.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in UI/UX design, including 2–4 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale web and mobile products.
- Mastery of industry-standard tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design and leadership outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, and design systems.
- Experience leading and mentoring high-performing design teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SaaS or consumer tech products.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively partner with engineering teams.
- Knowledge of data visualization and dashboard design principles.
- Experience designing global/multi-lingual digital products.
